figured i would start a new thread in a new section. i have done many v8 s10 swaps. i am currently doing a 98 s10 excab truck. this will be my last S10 swap. some i have done in the past was an 86 s10 blazer with a 327/200-4r trans, 91 s10 swb truck with sb 400 and TH400, 89 S10 blazer with a 350/NV3500 (5-speed) and an 88 S10 blazer with a 95 LT1/4L60E from a 95 camaro. this 98 is the final chapter of my s10 days. no more after this. here is a run down of whats in it.

Engine
1997 350 4 bolt main vortec block
bored .030 and clearanced for the stroker crank and rods.
eagle I beam robs, with eagle 2pc 383 crank all forged. (used a 1pc to 2pc adapter)
speed pro 9.8:1 forged flat top pistons
Comp Cams cam and lifters. 234/231 duration @.050 .520/.515 lift with 1.6 rockers and 114 LSA.
pro top line 190cc aluminum heads with 64cc chambers and 2.02/1.60 valves. Comp Cams timing chain, pushrods, and some cheaper pro comp 1.6 rockers?? see how they do.

Induction
91 corvette TPI. stock plenum, runners, and intake. BBK 52mm throttle body, FMS 30lbs/hr injectors and a TPIS custom harness, chip and ECM


Trans
built 700r4 trans (local shop) with hardened sun shell and sprags, 10 vain pump, B&M stage II shift kit and a PTC 3000 stall converter.

Rear
stock 10 bolt rear end with stock 4.10 gears. Moser 28 spline axles, and an aburn clutch style LSD posi.

for gauges i will be going to Dakota Digital for a custom set of digital gauges. enough talking on with the pics. LOL

Talk about a sleeper. It must be hard to hook up with so little weight in the back though?

it will be. but intended use is just street driven. full A/C and heat. nice sound system, and so on. the stock TPI will be the power robber. but should do about 380 at the crank and close to 500lbs/tq so it will be a torque monster. planning on doing a set of ZR1 vette wheels. 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear with 275/40s and 315/35s

these are nice, my brother-in-law has a s-10 that he put an LT-1 and six speed into. It's down for new cab mounts at the moment.
