87-944S

Hey Everyone,
I have my custom Griffin radiator installed, basically it's a 951 sized radiator without the bung for the fan control, and a proper petcock for draining instead of the threaded plug Porsche used.
I have an 87 944S, and if you want to use a Turbo radiator in a 944 N/A getting a lower radiator support from a 944 Turbo or S2 makes it a sweet bolt in. I'm able to utilize all the 944S radiator shrouds, and the belly pan fits.
I'm using the GM computer to control the fans, and I can change turn on/off temp settings with my HPTuners. I'm just about done with wiring, just need to hook up the tach, A/C select and OBDII port.
I have a bit of work to finish the BMW hydroboost setup, I have all the parts, re-made the front brake lines, installed big black calipers (928 GTS) and 993TT front rotors. I did this for much less than most kits, all parts are new, PM me if want to know where I got my parts. Rear brakes are 968 calipers, and 968 M030 rotors, these are factory drilled and look great with the 993TT front rotors.
Now for the VSS part, I tried to fit a GM sensor in the front spindles, but really couldn't make it fit. My parts car is an 89 944 N/A that had ABS, and was wrecked in a rear end collision several years ago. Originally, I was thinking of moving the ABS to my 87 hybrid, since it doesn't have ABS, and I like it. Problem is the fusebox on the 87 didn't have the relay sockets for ABS, and I wasn't up to doing a swap on the fusebox etc.
So, I started the attempt at using the 968 front spindles and ABS reluctor on the car for VSS. Since this didn't work, I decided to look at the rear of the car. This is looking really promising, the 87 944S rear trailing arms have a hole in the top for the ABS sensor, which looks like I will be able to mount the GM sensor there. I'll grab the reluctor ring from my 89 parts car, reprogram the ECM for the 45 tooth ring and I think I'll be good to go!
For those with 87 on cars without ABS this may be a viable solution. I'll post pictures as I work through this. I need to get a gallery setup over here, it's a shame I can't just copy the old one over!
