Selling my car to pay off some bills. Most people are afraid of the Porsche name because along with it being regarded as a well put together machine it is also common knowledge that they are a NIGHTMARE to maintain. 944's were not the Porsche mainstay however their 50/50 balance made them formidable on the track, unfortunately the 150hp motor makes a Honda Civic look like a super car. Rest assured maintenance on this car is easy to do and very cheap. Why? The parts that required the bulk of the maintenance have been replaced. Like what? The 2.5l 150hp motor has been replaced with a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro 5.7l V8. Has the cars balance been ruined, uhh no, it maintans it's 50/50 weight due to some weight reduction in teh front and the fact that the LT motor only weighs ~80lbs more that the stock 2.5l. The intake and heads are off a 1996 Corvette LT4 and have been massaged by Elliotts Portworks (Stage2). The Cam is a custom grind that makes serious power. The compression was bumped to 11.0:1 and due to the LT's reverse flow has no issues running on pump gas (super unleaded only though). Suspension has been upgraded as have the brakes. Since the Porsche booster no longer would fit BMW supplies the power for brakeing using a Porsche Master Cylinder. No worries the power steering rack will not leak since this car has manual steering. 235 35 19's in front and 275 30 19's in rear provide grip. 28.5mm front sway bars and turbo 944 rear sway bar. 9U code (LSD) 944 Turbo transaxle in the back to attempt to contain the 400hp on tap under your right foot. 96 Corvette Headers (smog legal w/ carb eo) and 2.5" dual exhaust through 2 hi flow cats into 1 2-1 Dynomax Welded muffler for the stock look. This car has passed BAR inspection and has a BAR label under the hood and smogs as a 1995 Chevrolet. All smog equiptment there and functioning.
