That sounds awesome, I'm looking forward to see how yours goes. I got most of my manifold built last weekend. So tell me what you plan for your car and what is it? If you want to check it out I am still keeping up with the blog on Ninas 20vt. What kind on thoughts have you had about the brake system?

We're looking for 450 rwhp at this point...the car started as an 84 N/A...a brake upgrade is DEFINITELY in the works, as is a transaxle replacement (951 LSD). Once the car is sorted and the teething issues (ALWAYS are issues, even when it's a bolt-in, like when I transplanted an AMC 401 Javelin mill into an originally 304 c.i.d. Gremlin--even though everything bolted straight to the new motor, there were still minor issues to deal with, things that didn't play nice with each other, like the U-joints that cried uncle after two hard launches) are fixed, we're going to take the car to the Texas Mile to see what it'll do in a straight line, then we'll probably do some autocross. The car is being put together more or less as an exercise in "how hard is it to do?", with an eye toward finding the issues likely to get in anyone's way who wants to do this swap, mainly because I'd like to find a European/German alternative to the LS-1 swaps...
No matter how much power the LS-1 makes, or how nice it sounds, and no offense intended to anyone's LS-1 swap, and I've seen some nice ones...it just seems 'off' somehow...and once I drove a VR6 car (92 Jetta), I was determined to figure out a way to do this.

Now, back to topic...how's issues with the oil pan coming on yours?

Sorry to take so long. The oil pan was sorted a while ago. I am nearing completion on several systems now. I hope to be driving it again by fall. Still a lot of items to address though. The devil is really in the details
